The creation of Swelegance Swag
Swelegance Swag boutique was created in 2019 prior to the pandemic during of time of great personal challenges in my life. I have always been in the retail fashion industry in various forms. However, the most profound and satisfying memories for me is of my grandmother Esther. My grandmother was a very beautiful woman who taught me the intricacies of entrepreneurship at an early age. I would often go with her daily during the summers to our beauty shop and watch her “transform” people with the magic of her hands. She was an innovator early in the hair game and she would often do shows at the Bronner Brothers and more. I loved my grandmother tremendously and everyday when I look to “transform” others through providing quality wigs and extensions I feel that I am carrying on the baton that she showed me as a young girl. There is so much more to the story, but my hope is to continue to build Swelegance Swag to accommodate every woman that comes into contact with this boutique. I know that it may seem miniscule or as a form of self-aggrandizement for an individual to focus on hair, nails and more when so much is going on in the world. However, I found while watching my grandmother work that people came into that shop with a load of problems, but after they got their hair done or cut it was like a total transformation. One that created a new perspective for each and every person. I wish to do that everyday with Swelegance Swag. In fact, in anything I do. One person at a time.
